GLYCOSAN

Anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, chondroprotective agent for IV use in horses.

COMPOSITION:

Contains: Glucosamine hydrochloride 200 mg/mL .

ACTION:

Glycosan may help to rebuild cartilage & treat arthritic joints. Glucosamine & Glycosaminoglycans are major components for joint cartilage. Horses with cartilage breakdown of the hock, fetlock, pastern & cannon bone that are given Glucosamine achieve a significant improvement within two weeks. Glycosan protects & nourishes your cartilageproducing cells & provides those cells with essential building blocks for creating new cartilage and connective tissue. Glycosan has beneficial effects for pain & functional impairment. The product is used to improve the arthritic joints in horses suffering arthritis. Glycosan treated animals start experiencing pain relief & improved joint mobility in hours.

INDICATIONS:

Non-infectious arthritis. Hydrarthrosis. Osteoarthritis and other degenerative pathologies. Chondropathies. Tendinitis. Synovitis. Joint anti-inflammatory.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Adult Horses (500 kg): Administer 20 mL daily by intravenous injection for 5 – 10 days, or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. In light of the actions of glucosamine discussed above, consideration may also be given to : – Protective pretreatment with Glycosan Injection prior to intra-articular corticosteroid injections. For preventative- Give 20ml of Glycosan Intravenous injection prerace day.

PRESENTATION:

100 mL sterile glass multidose vial.

STORAGE:

Store between 2˚C – 8˚C (Refrigerate. Do not freeze). Protect from light. Use all product within 3 months of first broaching vial.

WARNINGS: Safety in pregnant or lactating mares has not been established.
